Taichung and Hsinchu City announced as host cities for 2020 and 2021 Lantern Festivals respectively.

The Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, after holding the "2020 Taiwan Lantern Festival" and the "2021 Taiwan Lantern Festival" hosting city and county selection process, reported the results of its findings and decisions to the Executive Yuan on January 30, 2019. It has decided that the "2020 Taiwan Lantern Festival" will be held in Taichung City and the "2021 Taiwan Lantern Festival" will be held in Hsinchu City, which has not held the Taiwan Lantern Festival before.

Nuit Blanche Taipei returns to Taipei for its mind-blowing all night art & music event

Taipei’s third annual ​Nuit Blanche​ event starts from 6pm on October 6 2018, and takes place across ​24 different venues​ accessible from Minquan W. Road Station and Yuanshan Station on the red line of the MRT. Organized by Taipei City Government Department of Cultural Affairs, ​over 30 art, music and film performances​ have been officially scheduled, running from 6pm on October 6 through to 6am the next day, while more than ​55 other “Off Program” experiences​ and performances take place at other venues across the city.
